Update Your Directors Service Address Online

Changing your directors service address using your company AUTH code.

You can change your directors service address at any time, changing it is quick and easy and can be done online. There is no fee to change your directors service address, but you’ll need your email address and your company authentication code.

What you need to do:

  1. Go to the Companies House Web Filing Login page.
  2. Login or Register.
  3. Enter the Company Number and AUTH Code for your business.
  4. A page will load showing you all your current company information. You will need to scroll down to where it displays "Directors and Secretaries" and click edit on the Director you wish to update.

  5. It will then ask you to confirm you wish to proceed and change the Directors personal information. Continue by clicking "Change existing director's details".
  6. The next page will display all the details currently held for the selected Director. Under the "Correspondence address" click change.

  7. 7. It is important to enter the address manually, this will guarantee the address is correctly displayed on all your official mail sent to our office. It also means you can include having your company name printed in the address alongside the directors personal name, this is sometimes not done automatically. Click "Enter address manually".
  8. Enter the address information as follows below. You can change the "Unit A" to "Suite A" or just "82A" if you please, for more information about this click here.

  9. After clicking "Update details" continue to confirm your changes, it will also ask for the date you wish this change to take effect.

How long will it take to update?

The change if submitted correctly should be updated within the hour, though it can sometimes take longer. We suggest waiting 24 hours before contacting Companies House to see if there is a problem. You should receive an email confirming that a change has been made, both on submission of the change and when the change is updated on the public record. If you do not receive the first of these emails, try submitting the change again. The email will be sent to the email address you used to login with, on the Companies House website.
