Royal Mail Forwarding Delays

Royal Mail Forwarding Delays

Why has my forwarded mail not arrived yet?

By default all letters are sent using Royal Mail's postal services, both within the UK and for International forwarding. OfficeServ processes all items that arrive on the same working day they are delivered. This means with some minor exceptions, a letter for your account is forwarded to you the same day it arrives with us!
Please see our Mail Handling Times guide for more information on what the default service would be for your Virtual Package.
Sometimes Royal Mail have minor or severe delays in their service network. While it's not easy to confirm disruptions or delays for sending mail internationally, you can easily check for delays to Royal Mail's UK Domestic Network.

How to check for delays in the Royal Mail Postal Network?

It's easy to check for any disruption or delays affecting any letter or package being sent within the UK via Royal Mail. You can use the link below to find the latest up-to-date information on their website. You just need to look out for your delivery postcode. If the delivery postcode (the postcode of the address where we are forwarding mail to) is mentioned on their service update site, your item may be delayed.

What if my postcode is not mentioned in their delays?

Firstly bear in mind that mail sent by standard 1st or 2nd Class services in the UK is not guaranteed to be delivered the next working day or within two working days, respectively. Royal Mail suggest the following guidelines for these services.
1st Class - Delivery aim of one working day. 1st Class post should be delivered by the following working day after sending.
2nd Class - Delivery aim of three workings days. 2nd Class post should be delivered by the following fourth working day after sending.

More Information:

OfficeServ keep a detailed record of every letter we send. We record, when, how, it's size, destination, recipient and what service was used. We do not however record what was forwarded, so for example if it was a letter from HMRC or if it was from Companies House, or if it was a banking letter from say Barclays, due to the volume of mail we process it is not possible to record this information.
Royal Mail do not consider a letter or package lost until it has not been delivered for 10 working days after sending. So unfortunately we are not able to raise any complaint or enquiry until these 10 days have passed.
